June 30th Larry, Festina & I head out for Washington. The first day we drove almost to Gallup, New Mexico. Early the next morning we started out for West Jordan, Utah to see our friends from Mira Loma, CA. We had a nice reunion with Barry & Rene Jordan. They made plans for us to see some things in the area they had not seen yet since moving to Utah.
The first stop was the Gilgal Gardens. If you have not been there, it's a sculpture garden based on several spiritual themes. Barry would sing some of the songs and quote scripture that went with the themes. We had lunch at the Chuck A Rama. We drove around in a few circles looking for it...only to notice it was right behind the Gilgal Gardens.
After lunch we decided to go to the Natural History Museum At the University of Utah...but ended up at the Red Butte Botanical Garden instead....We don't even know if there is a museum there. The gardens were nice, I liked the Snake Fountain, we got lost in the garden and needed help to find our way out.
We enjoyed the evening talking about all of our kids and grandkids. We had a late night and needed to get up early for the drive to Washington.
The Snake Fountain was part of the Children's Garden at the University of Utah
