The Fountain
Saturday we went out to purchase a water fountain. At the time of Larry's father's death, we had been given a gift card by family members to purchase something to remember Blaine & Leona by, We decided a fountain would be nice, we couldn't kill it like a plant but it would beautify our backyard and reminds us of the care and love of gardening that they shared with us. In addition to the beauty of it, Axel thinks its great to play in.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame
We went ot our first Ranger game in Texas monday. The area has really changed. You can see Cowboys stadium from miles away. Thw first look we had was on the 820 to 30 interchange. It reminded us of Mt Rainer at first. Then when you get closer a space ship. Arlington has changed the roads around Ranger Stadium to accomodate the Cowboys. It just confused us a bit, especially trying to find our way back to the freeway to go home.
The Rangers won, the weather was great...it's amazing what a breeze can do with 91 degrees.
Tuesday Oscar came over to spend the night. We play pack rat and some sponge bob game on the computer. He beat me everytime.
Wednesday we took Damon, Oscar, Diego and Kelly to a Ranger game......we have to make up for lost time. Luckily it was dollar dog night and Kelly bought Lemon Chills for everyone to share. But those Rangers lost the game. Damon loves baseball and really watches the game. Him and Papa are a pair. I entertained Diego, before the game started he said he was bored. I told him he wasn't allowed to say that anymore, and he didn't. Oscar and him got into the clapping and cheering.
Thursday we had Axel for the day. Needless to say we are making up for lost time with the Texas family. Axel loves to play in the backyard and play with the hose. We went to Costco and of course Axel managed to convince Grandma and Papa to buy some toys. We now have 4 reptile puppets and a giant Mr Potato Head family. And he couldn't wait to have some cheetos.
Brody and Stephanie had dinner with us and a short visit, Axel didn't have much of a nap and needed to go to bed.
Today is a little quieter, well sort of, we had a good thunder storm early this morning. Mostly puttering around the house. Larry will probably play with his new ladder after his bike ride.

It's Greek to Me
Hunter came home from church with us. The Wadkins were coming over later for a Greek dinner. Hunter helped prepare the entire meal. Homemade pita bread, Greek salad, Spanakopitas, Lamb & chicken kabobs, & Tzatziki. She learned to chop onions, cut chicken and stood on her feet for 3 hours. In the end it was delicious. I know I will do this one again. Fun new food experiences. I think next week will be North African.
Larry is trying to learn to surf the net and email and facebook. See the concentration on his face.

Fried Catfish and Mac & Cheese
Today started with finishing the Warr Zone Mission blog and starting a new adventure in life.
The day starts with an early morning walk with my best 4 legged friend Festina. We had a date to celebrate Sally's birthday (late). We took her to lunch and shopping. We went to Crcker Barrel, we can't believe Sally had never been there.....yummy home cooking. Then off to the mall for some and serious shopping. We left with 2 pairs of jeans, a really cute purple top and and a fushia purse.
Then we took Hunter to the movies to see Julie & Julia. We could relate to the love of food and eating it. Larry stopped at Braum's for banana splits for dinner. What and end of a fun afternoon.
