Work work work

September 22 I had a hysterectomy...thankfully I bounced back really fast, in fact so fast I had to be careful not to do too much,,,,that didn't happen much.

We have been fixing up the house. The flooring was new house cheap. We liked Kelly's new laminate floors so much, we bought up some of her leftovers and put it in the office and guest room. We changed the colorsin the office and made it more modern, I really like it now.

We got an oak look laminate for our room, the contrast looks good with our cherrywood furniture. We are painting the closet and reorganizing it. Our house is smallish, we are always looking for ways to create better storage.

The weather was not kind to the house during our mission. A couple of hail storms required a new roof. Our insurance company was prompt and we have a new roof and changed out our fence. Sally's boys helped Papa paint the back.

We had to rebuild one of the front planters, Nathan dug it out, and Larry rebuilt it. I planted tulip bulbs, all the way from the Washington Tulip festival.

I watch Axel twice a week. We are trying to make up for lost time. I enjoy my time with him. We also see other grandkids frequently. We've been having Nathan over for dinner on Mondays while Steve is at school and Kelly at work. So today we had our youngest and oldest grandsons visit us.

Wednesday I start volunteering at Oscar & Diegos school one day a week. I do enjoy being with our children and grand children. We just miss Jodies gang....12/29/09 see you then
