New Dryer

I've been wanting a clothesline for a couple of years. I rather spend my electricity $$$ on the air conditioner, since it's on 24/7 now. Not to mention the bacteria killing benefits the hot sun gives.

Diego's Big Day

Diego was baptized today. He wanted Uncle Steve to do the baptism and Papa to confirm him.

We had lunch at a family favorite, Texas Star Burgers.

New Truck

June 23, 3 weeks after our 2003 grey truck was stolen, we replaced it with a 2011 red one. When our truck was stolen, we had no idea how hard it would be to replace it. After going to a couple of dealerships we found out that a long bed quad cab was a rare commodity. To pull our 5th wheel trailer we really needed the longer bed, we checked into the short be option, but it requires a special hitch that slides. That hitch is very expensive and HEAVY. Since it is our only vehicle, we needed the quad cab. Our other truck was also a 4x4, which saved us many times in icy weather and on our mission.

We used a broker that Brody had good service from, he looked diligently for 3 weeks before finding this one. We knew if it wasn't the perfect truck, it would still have to do. Luckily for us it was near perfect. The only missing items were tow mirrors and keyless entry, not deal breakers all things considered. We now have keyless entry with the alarm system we had installed (we're a little gun shy) and we're having the mirrors installed Tuesday.

Now to start new adventures and memories. Oh yeah the keys to our trailer were in the truck, we have to have 5 locks opened and replaced before we can go RVing again...I guess part of the adventure.

Camp WarrZone in June

June 22 Sally, Diego, Oscar and Axel went to the Fort Worth Zoo. Wednesday's is half price day. We were expecting hugh crowds. We were pleasantly surprised to have just a crowd. The weather even cooperated by being only in the mid 90's. Damon was at Boy Scout Camp, but the following week we painted snakes and went to a bouncing park, where all the boys jumped for about 1.5 hours

The zoo now has a new Reptile house. The boys were able to see a wide variety of creatures up close and even touch a snake.

We're all sporting the t-shirts we painted the week before.
