We got to Jodie's at 7:30 pm July 3rd. Only the family was in Canada. George wanted to get in some training on site for his Ironman coming in Aug 2010. But it was not a problem, we still had a key to the house. Belle, the best cat in the world , met us at the door. We promptly collapsed after our 877 mile drive.
We had made plans for July 4th. We were meeting up with the friends we made in Granite Falls, while we were at Cascade Park for our mission. ( We have spent the last 3 July 4th's with Roy & Carroll Chapman)

After meeting up with the Chapman's at church, we went out to Cascade Park to spend the afternoon with them. We were a little worried about how the park would look after we left....considering what it looked like when we first got there feb 2008...We could say it looked even better. The current missionaries have worked hard keeping up the grounds and adding improvements for camping.

The weather was so typical for the 4th. Gray and drizzly. But the weather didn't ruin our visit with friends.

This is our friend Roy Chapman, he was one of the first people we met on our mission. His volunteers at Cascade Park regularly. Larry & Roy could get into so much trouble.
