We may have drove to Washington in 2 days, but we took more time going home. Our first stop was in Idaho. We were able to visit Larry's Aunt Lois & Uncle Leonard. Bonnie came by and we made a quick stop by Carma's. Hunter got to see a huge tractor baling straw at night. Lois fixed us hardy meals, which included fresh scones. Larry got to drive one of the Hudson's. The night we arrived Sara & Tim Llewellyn, Bruce Moffet's daughter, arrived on their way to Washington for Vet school. We got to have a nice visit with all and it was good to see the family.
Our next stop was in West Jordan, UT to visit our friends the Jordans. We took Hunter to Temple Square and we toured the conference center. We enjoy our short visits with them. Maybe next time we'll have to allow more time.
From there we drove to Albuqueque. We took a different route that took us through Moab, UT and hit the corner of Durango, Co. We got in a little early for us, but we got a good rest. Hunter & I watched Eclipse.
We were in Amarillo about lunch time and stopped at the infamous "Big Texan" steakhouse. We had a couple of good ribeyes and fueled up the truck for the final 5.5 hours home.
